St. Jean Cap Ferrat Restaurants & Bars

The village of St. Jean Cap Ferrat is charming and a lovely place to go for lunch and a great walk along the water's edge.

Overview of St. Jean Restaurants & Bars

The village of St. Jean is small and sweet and right on the Port. There are two levels, the upper level where there are a couple of boulangeries, a butcher and three restaurants, and then the lower level, directly on the Port where there are five or six restaurants, plus some nice shops and an ice cream stand. There is also a wonderful wine bar which is a great place on the upper terrace that serves great coffee in the morning and great wines in the evening.  The views are gorgeous from their terrace as you can see all the way down the coast to Bordighera, Italy.

All the restaurants are nice so we encourage you to try them all.  Our all time favorite is Paloma (only open in summer) which is on Paloma beach.  In the village we know and eat often at the following places, but the others are also good and worth trying.

You will really love the walk to St. Jean (see our Walking Guide) which takes you along the beach of Villefranche and then along the water’s edge path on the east side of Cap Ferrat.  It takes about 40 minutes and is breathtaking.  Then you can take the bus back to Villefranche or walk back.

Bar du Port: On the main road that leads to little Cap, nice food, nice drinks and very local place.

Nonna: Good food right on the Port. nonnarestaurant.fr

Paloma: Great restaurant right on Paloma beach.  To find Paloma beach, continue on the little road that leads through the village out to the little Cap.  At the fork in the road, turn left and you come to Paloma Beach and you will see the restaurant at the bottom of the steps on the water’s edge.  Only open in the summer and probably one of the most, if not the most, romantic place to go for dinner in the summer. And if you do, it is a very beautiful 40-minute walk from Villefranche, almost all along the water’s edge.  It is a nice walk in both directions but if that feels too long, walk in one direction and take a taxi back in the other, or take the bus there and walk or taxi back. paloma-beach.com
